What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy treats all joints and muscle dysfunction in the body, from your head attachment to your neck, down to back, hips, elbows, knees, ankles, fingers and feet. Osteopathic Medicine is hands-on therapy performed by highly-qualified healthcare practitioners who have a medical sciences degree, with a specialist knowledge of anatomy and musculo-skeletal conditions. It is widely used for musculoskeletal issues, but it also has benefits beyond just bones and muscles.
For pain relief, mobility and whole-body health
Osteopaths are highly trained healthcare professionals, recognised by NHS England as Allied Health Practitioners – on par with physiotherapists and dentists. With specialist knowledge of anatomy, musculoskeletal conditions, and whole-body health, they are medical specialists.

Osteopathy Benefits
"I visited Ariana after a recommendation. I’d been suffering with back and shoulder pain for 3 weeks. She took the time to review my issues and concerns and thoroughly examined me. I was so impressed with the knowledge and care. Ariana then spent an hour relieving pressure and tension and I left feeling completely different. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone and I will certainly be visiting again soon. She text me immediately answering any questions I had and checked in with me a few days later to see how I was. Thank you Ariana"

Why choose osteopathy over other treatments?
What should you expect in
a consultation with Ariana?
Arriving at the clinic, there is free parking with treatment rooms available on the ground floor. Please ask about wheelchair access, as this may fluctuate based on the clinic location.
We begin our consultation with discussing your medical history. If you have recent test results, such as X-Rays, MRI, blood test analysis, please bring the reports along. If it falls within Ariana’s field of expertise, she will gladly decipher test results for you, so if you have lingering questions, just ask. If you are on any prescription drugs or supplements, please bring a list or photos with you. The aim is to build a picture of you as a person, what has been happening over the years, what your current health concerns are, and what your goals are, to help you achieve what matters to you, manage your expectations, bring reassurance or recommend further investigation as appropriate.
The first consultation includes a thorough examination. With your consent, it can be helpful if you are disrobed down to your underwear. The skin, for example, is a map to the body, and some findings are best found with an overall picture (like 6 toes – rare but telling more about the patient than you’d think is relevant at first).
Ariana walks you through her findings and working diagnosis (what we focus to treat on the day).
She treats being mindful of any contraindications and explains what she does and why. Treatment can include gentle, hands-on joint mobilisation and soft tissue manipulation; K-Laser therapy, whether for very painful or sensitive areas, to increase range of movement or speed up healing faster. The aim is not to hurt and I strive to make you feel at ease.
Every session is tailored to you and to how much you wish to be involved in your treatment, or invest in your health. Whether you prefer a more passive approach to treatment, or active stretches; whether you like to ask questions, find out more about the root causes with Functional Medicine testing, and support your health with supplements, exercise therapy, nutritional tips or other lifestyle adjustments. The chances are that there is a blended approach that is right for you. And we can discuss this during your consultation and subsequent sessions, as feedback is always encouraged to adapt treatment as need be.
